Motivational quote by Ashley Gorley: 'Success doesn't mean much if you're not okay. I want to help songwriters make time to care for themselves, because without that, we're not showing up fully in our work or lives.'

It’s no secret that life in the music industry creates high levels of stress, anxiety, and burnout. Studies show that those in the creative sector are 3x more likely to face mental health challenges than the general population. According to MusiCares recent Wellness in Music Survey:

  • 47%  of musicians attribute financial insecurity to high levels of stress and anxiety

  • 53% note that their earnings have not stabilized post pandemic

  • 69% say they are not able to meet their financial needs comfortable through work in music alone

  • 8% of musicians reported having thoughts of suicide
(higher than the national average of 5%)

Whether you are struggling to juggle everything coming at you or simply want to optimize life with renewed vision, meaning, and purpose, this program will help you disconnect in order to reconnect to what really matters.

  • I’ve been at the intersection of Music and Mental Wellness for the better part of my career and have experienced firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing today’s creatives. Music is medicine, and the comfort, relief, support, and overall impact it provides globally to humanity is immeasurable. Our storytellers are a national treasure we should pour into and protect at all costs.

  • I've done therapy for years, so I didn't think this was something I'd need. But being in this industry and having a program and people tuned to the specific stressors and needs of someone in my position was more needed than I realized. Having the space and permission to let myself feel was a huge step on my mental health journey.

  • Having the opportunity to do this, at this specific time in my life has really helped me. I just had a baby and being a woman in the music business comes with a different kind of weight. This has helped me navigate my identity crisis and get me closer to connecting back with my creativity!
